Communication: Ensure Hospital logos, forms and templates are being followed within the limits of policies set forth. Assist with proof-reading media releases, newsletter content, CEO and Senior Leader communications; update and proof website content; provide support in processing of signage requests. Update publications and event collateral, including brochures, posters, and banners. Coordinate and order awards and certificates. Assist with social media and events as needed.
Public and Community Relations: Direct media inquiries to responsible person. Respond, if appropriate, to public requests for information, and relay other requests to responsible party. Process sponsorship requests. Purchase, prepare and mail corporate holiday cards. Arrange corporate attendance at important community functions (example: St. Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce Annual Dinner). Actively seek out media stories and draft press releases; actively seek out opportunities to capture video and still photos of activities for a variety of uses.
Receptionist Duties: Responsible for recording, approving, and submitting KRONOS reports. Serve as peer interviewer as needed. Submit media updates to members of Senior Leadership weekly. Provide assignments to and general oversight of temporary clerical/work study volunteers. Schedule rooms, meetings, AV requests, and nutritional needs. Answer phone, process bills, provide clerical oversight to the Communications office. Serve as ICON FIERY super user and authorize user access where appropriate. Oversee operation of Department equipment, calling in service requests when needed.
Self-Management: Work within Service Excellence guidelines to focus on organizational mission and values. Ability to work effectively with staff, participate in team building projects, and serve on Hospital committees. Complete continuing education courses and professional development opportunities.

Exceptional written and spoken communication skills. Sense of humor and a positive attitude with proven outstanding customer service skills and telephone manner. Three or more years in an administrative assistant position in a busy office dealing with highly confidential information; fluency in MS Office Suite of applications; proven ability to search using the Internet. Curiosity and proven initiative.
