  • Job Summary

    Business Owner of the Volunteer program. Shared ownership of system wide recruiting, onboarding, contingent workforce programs and contract administration.

    Core Responsibilities


    50% - Independent of Supervision, design, develop, lead and manage the volunteer program with excellence. Provide operational leadership, not limited to: volunteer recruitment, placement & performance management, budget owner, expense management, and aligns with human capital business needs. Grow & enhance the program’s contributions throughout the health system to achieve identified milestones.


    35% - In partnership and in collaboration with key stakeholders, business owners and subject matter experts across the health system, drive, deliver & perform professional recruitment & staffing services across the talent acquisition/retention channel of work, not limited to:

    • Administer the workflow & perform a variety of work streams across the health systems’ recruiting function to include data entry/administrative support, candidate engagement and screening, and HR systems/processes.
    • With a full cycle level of ownership, “cradle to grave”, manage the flow of HR workforce processes, programs and systems:
      • administer the onboarding of new hires (to include New Hire Orientation, Background checks, etc.)
        • Independent of supervision, is a SME on adverse action decision making during the hiring process
      • scorecard & dashboard tracking & reporting. DNV, regulatory & Government reporting/compliance.
        • Unemployment, Workers’ Compensation, Disability, OFCCP, DOL, DOH, EEOC, etc.
      • provide professional staff level support to the talent acquisition & retention channels of work (direct hire, interim, locums, contingent, staffing firm, search firm, traveler, etc.):
        • Provider
        • Executive
        • Non-executive
        • Intern/Graduate Nursing/Co-op/Academic/non-Academic/similar workforce programs

    15% - Assess business needs, negotiate and manage Contracts Administration and affiliation agreements for the contingent workforce suppliers/vendors/Independent Contractors/etc. Evaluate, manage, administer and drive business results for these contracts and affiliation agreements via the performance of the contingent workforce resources. Lead process & performance improvement & quality initiatives in conjunction with business owners & subject matter experts (SME’s).


    Work Experience:

    • Requires 3-5 years’ professional experience in recruiting, volunteer services or equivalent work experience.
    • Requires 1-3 years’ professional experience in contract administration
    • Demonstrated professional experience in successfully performing software solutions, similar to:
      • Volgistics               (Volunteer or other scheduling software)
      • Kronos                   (Time and Attendance)
      • Meditech              (HRIS)
      • ICIMS                     (Applicant Tracking)
      • PolicyStat             (Policy Administration)
